PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Notice is hereby given that the members of the Santa Rosa County Canvassing Board for the March 17, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary Election, will meet at the following times, at the Supervisor of Elections, 6495 Caroline Street, Suite F, Milton, FL.

 

2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2020 – Canvassing Board kickoff meeting. Discuss upcoming schedule, review composition of the Canvassing Board duties and procedures (102.141, F.S), discuss public logic and accuracy testing, and review procedures for canvassing absentee and provisional ballots. Recount procedures, reporting, certification and audit requirements will also be discussed.

 

9:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020 – Logic and Accuracy Testing of Voting Equipment/Tabulation.

 

1:00 p.m., Monday, March 2, 2020 – The canvassing of vote-by-mail ballots will take place with the sealed vote-by-mail ballots made available for public inspection prior to processing from 12:30-1:00 pm. Verification and tabulation of provisional ballots will take place as needed. The Canvassing Board will also perform any other duties that may be prescribed by law and will reconvene as necessary.

 

9:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to canvass ballots.

 

1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 10, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to canvass ballots.

 

1:00 p.m., Friday, March 13, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to canvass ballots.

 

3:00 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to canvass Vote-By-Mail ballots.  The Canvassing Board will also perform any other duties that may be prescribed by law.

 

5:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 – Election Day. (May convene earlier if necessary)

 

1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to reconcile the Presidential Preference Primary Election.

 

9:00 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to process Provisional Ballots and “Unofficial Results”. 

 

3:30 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet to canvass 10 day overseas ballots, “Official Results” and complete the Conduct of Election.  At 4:00 p.m., the Canvassing Board will draw for the Manual Audit, selecting a party, precinct and race.

 

2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 31, 2020 – The Canvassing Board will meet for the Manual Audit.
