Patriots show interest in Jordan Leggett

Jordan Leggett could be on the move.

The New England Patriots have expressed interest in the former Navarre Raider. Leggett won a national championship while at Clemson where he established himself as one of the best tight ends in the nation.

Leggett spent last season on the practice squad of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after playing his first two seasons with the New York Jets. New York drafted him in the fifth round in 2017.

After missing his rookie season because of an injury, Leggett played in 15 games in 2018, catching 14 passes for 114 yards.  He also caught his first career touchdown pass that season.

The Bucs waived Leggett last week but he has continued to train in the Tampa area.  According to reports, the Patriots brought him in for a workout on Friday. There is only one tight end currently on the New England roster with NFL experience, and that’s Ryan Izzo.
