NJROTC preparing to adapt, overcome during pandemic

Navarre NJROTC instructor Captain Michael Fisher knows this year things are going be different because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

There was no camp for new cadets earlier this summer out of concerns over safety and the typical activities that cadets take part in during a typical school year won’t look the same.

The camp decision was not an easy one. But it was the right one, according to Fisher.

“It was based on data and being able to mitigate the risk,” Fisher said. “With 60-80 kids at the camp, it would have been tough. With each person, you add to the risk.”
