Navarre’s girls soccer team finds itself ranked in the top eight in the first FHSAA regional playoff poll of the season.
The Raiders are fifth in Region 1-6A, sporting a 7-3-1 record and an RPI of 9.977. Lincoln is the top team in the region with an RPI of 16.545.
Creekside (14.593), Niceville (11.653) and Chiles (10.389) hold down the other three spots in the top five.
Sitting in sixth is Fletcher with an RPI of 9.206 and Buccholz is seventh with an RPI of 8.993. Columbia (8.369) rounds out the top eight.
In the boys soccer poll, the Raiders are ninth with an RPI of 8.838. Navarre is 9-4 on the year.
Niceville holds down the top spot with an RPI of 19.781 and Buccholz is second with an RPI of 13.504.
Fleming Island (12.913), Leon (12.735) and Lincoln (11.642) round out the top five. Tate is sixth with an RPI of 11.628 but is coming off a 4-1 loss to Navarre Monday night. Fletcher (10.270) and Forest (8.898) are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively.
The top eight teams in each region earn playoff spots, with district champions being awarded automatic bids. The other four spots are at-large.
