For the first time since 2016, Navarre’s girls basketball team is moving on in the District 1-6A tournament.
The Raiders advanced to the semifinal round with a 47-36 win over Milton Monday night at home.
Natasha Elliott scored a team-high 14 points for the Raiders, who won their 13th game of the year, the most wins for the program in four years.
Navarre (13-12) now gets a shot at regular-season district champion Pace (19-6) Wednesday in the semifinal round at Crestview. Tip-off is 5:30 p.m.
The Raiders lost to the Patriots twice in the regular season, though they did have a 26-25 lead over Pace at halftime of their last meeting before falling 68-54.
“It’s a rivalry,” Navarre head coach Abby Fogg said. “We didn’t have a great second half the last time against them. Pace has had a great season. It’s going to be tough but we are looking forward to the challenge.”
