Navarre Press launches partnership

Memories help mend the hurt when a loved one dies. Sharing those memories should not be a difficult process.

To help better honor those that pass, Navarre Press has launched a new partnership with to expand our obituary services.

This new program takes the obituaries and death notices posted in the Navarre Press and shares those messages via Ancestry’s MemoriamsTM on

This program provides a user-friendly experience to our local families, readers and funeral homes when submitting an obituary.

A We Remember® page will be created for every submitted obituary. This page allows family and friends to celebrate their loved one’s life by bringing them together beyond geographic borders to share memories, stories and photos.

The We Remember page helps paint a rich picture of who they were says Navarre Press publisher Sandi Kemp.

“We are bringing a national company and all they have to offer to our community,” she said.

The program allows funeral home directors and family members to post obituaries, and all obituaries printed will be uploaded to We Remember. The obituaries can also be shared to social media via the site.

The Ancestry platform also allows future generations to learn about their family, preserving their legacy in an easily accessible, permanent archive.

More than anything, the goal of expanding this service is to better honor members of the community who pass Kemp said.

“We are a part of our community, and we want to share our community’s story from the day they are born to the days when we mourn their loss,” Kemp said. “This partnership with Ancestry allows us to better serve our community at a difficult time.”
