Homecoming is Friday night, adding excitement throughout the week leading up to the game.
Navarre isn’t getting caught up in the hype of homecoming as every game means more.
Instead, they remain focused on a showdown with Chiles at Bennett C. Russell Stadium Friday night.
“We have to put the homecoming and pep rally stuff behind us, because at the end of the day, this is a district game,” senior quarterback Marlon Courtney said. “We have to go harder to win that game.”
As the band played and the team celebrated its win on the field late Friday night, Navarre head coach Jay Walls talked about his team’s approach to homecoming.
Dress-up days, spirit days and a pep rally Friday are all part of the festivities. But what the scoreboard is going to say come Friday night is what matters to the Raiders.
“It’s a big week and we’re excited to be at home. Homecoming is going to be exciting,” Walls said.
