Navarre’s girls weightlifting team brought 20 girls to Fort Walton Beach to compete in the district meet last Friday.
All 20 competitors placed within the top six in their respective weight divisions. That performance guaranteed each lifter a spot to compete in regional this weekend in Suwannee.
This team is considered one of the strongest ever in program history, impressive when one considers the Raiders have won five state championships in the last seven years.
“We are strong from top to bottom.” Navarre head coach Garrett Bagley said. “There are several girls that have the potential to place in the top six at state.”
