Did you feel that? Residents of Northwest Florida may have felt a slight tremor Sept. 3 from a 3.8 magnitude earthquake southwest of Pollard, Alabama, near the northern Florida-Alabama line.
The minor earthquake struck around 10 a.m. according to USGS. People in the area of Jay, Century and areas of Alabama reported feeling light shaking from the quake to the USGS. The depth of the quake was 4 kilometers.
It is one of a few that have hit the region in recent years. According to news reports, Northwest Florida had its first earthquake on record in March 2019.
