Andrew and Matthew McTamney make it clear that while they are twins, they are different people.
The similarities they share, however, extend beyond being brothers. Both have excelled in the classroom and on the field as baseball players for the Navarre Raiders.
“We happen to play the same sport and are both in the top of our class, but we are very different,” Andrew said.
It is impressive what the McTamney twins have managed to pull off in their high school careers.
The grind of going through a long day of practice or playing a game that sometimes pushed into the 10 p.m. hour wasn’t easy. Not when it was followed by staying up until 1 or 2 a.m. to finish homework or study for multiple tests awaiting them the next day at school.
“There were a lot of late nights,” Matthew said. “Sometimes we’d have three tests the same day. It was stressful, but we made it work.”
