A Navarre man was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 21, after allegedly sexually abusing a child under the age of twelve.
Jimmy Ressler, 40, has been charged with two counts of felony sexual assault on a victim younger than 12 years of age and first degree felony lewd and lascivious molestation of a child younger than 12 years old.
Both charges are listed as domestic violence related.
To protect the victim, most of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office report has been redacted.
According to the report, the victim informed a caregiver that Ressler, who lived in the same building as the caregiver, had sexually abused her.
An investigation was conducted in which the victim was interviewed at Santa Rosa Kid’s House. During interviews the victim disclosed that she had been in Ressler’s bedroom where the alleged incidents occurred and gave details of the incidents.
Ressler is being held in Santa Rosa County Jail without bond.
