The Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge (ECWR) finalized sale of the Crestview Zoo Sept. 21, bringing it one step closer to financing construction of a new rehabilitation facility in Navarre.
ECWR board president Bill Anderson announced the refuge’s intention to move from Okaloosa Island to a site in Holley last year. Anderson and his wife donated 2.2 acres along State Road 87 to the refuge for the move.
