Usually it is boats that launch out into Santa Rosa Sound from the Navarre Beach Boat Ramp, but Nov. 15 it was an unfortunate SUV that took a dip. According to Navarre Beach Fire Rescue Chief Danny Fureigh the sodden ride had to be towed out of the waves of the boat ramp around noon. Fureigh said the driver of the vehicle stopped the car to get out and take a picture but left the car in drive. It was almost completely submerged and flipped on its roof when help arrived.
