When Zoey Hodges, 7, studied sea turtles in class this year at St Luke’s Episcopal School in Baton Rouge, it made a big impression on the second grader.
“She came home with lots of questions,” mom, Kathryn Hodges, said. “Most of all, she wanted to know what she could do to help them survive.”
Zoey and her mom researched sea turtles on the internet and found the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Navarre.
