Travel is high on the priority list of those 50 and over. It’s also big business for the industry, according to Stephanie Miles, the senior vice president for marketing and member benefits at AARP.
“Travel is the number one thing people at that age aspire to do, especially with a significant other or family,” Miles said. “In fact, all Baby Boomers will travel for fun with an average of five trips per year and will spend over $125 billion per year.”
Planning is the key to keeping it affordable.
