The cost to the City of Gulf Breeze for the state’s 17-month-long operational audit has now exceeded $63,000 and consumed 1,827 hours worked on the project by city employees—and counting.
Begun in April 2018, the intensive examination requested by State Sen. Doug Broxson isn’t over yet although a draft review of the findings is underway by the Auditor General’s Office in Tallahassee.
