Two Milton residents suspected in an attempted armed robbery were arrested Wednesday, Aug. 24, on unrelated charges in Santa Rosa County.
According to Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office reports, Shana Martin, 31, and Erik Johnson, 34, are suspected of attempting to rob the Health Smart Pharmacy on North State Road 129 in Baker, Fla. armed with handguns.
The masked suspects fled the store when the cashier pulled a gun on the robbers and pointed in their direction. They made their escape in an orange Ford Mustang that a Santa Rosa County deputy later recognized in Milton around midnight that same day.
The deputy was given consent to search the car which contained clothes
matching those of the suspects caught on the pharmacy’s security camera.
The pair was later arrested at their home on Lakeshore Drive in Milton.
Martin was booked into Santa Rosa County jail for six counts of failure to appear, six counts of check fraud and one count of larceny. Johnson was booked on a felony probation violation.
In Okaloosa County, the pair faces charges of robbery with a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. They are both currently held in Santa Rosa County Jail.
Martin is being held on $9,555 bond. Johnson is being held without bond.
