The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office invites young men and women who have completed eighth grade and are between the ages of 14 and 20 to participate in the Explorer Program.
The program, which is designed toward young adults with an interest in learning more about careers in the field of law enforcement, provides educational training programs for young adults on the purposes, mission, and objectives of law enforcement. The program provides career orientation experiences, leadership opportunities, and community service activities. The primary goals of the program are to help young adults choose a career path within law enforcement and to challenge them to become responsible citizens of their communities and the nation.
The first meeting is Nov. 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office Administration Building, 5755 E. Milton Road. Parents are welcome to attend.
