Jemelyn Chiappetta’s interesting journey to the United States reached a milestone last month at her naturalization ceremony in Pensacola.
In front of family and friends, the Navarre resident became a citizen of America.
“I was excited about it,” Chiappetta said. “It was a really nice ceremony.”
The road to that point was filled with twists and turns, complicated by the fact she was born in the Philippines, living in Italy and needing to become a citizen of the United States.
