Road resurfacing work is underway in District 4 of Santa Rosa County and the total cost of the 10 roads being worked on is estimated to be $229,200 of the $1.5 million set aside for the five districts.
Determining which roads are paved is based off a formula the Board of County Commissioners came up with five or six years ago, according to Santa Rosa County Public Works Director Stephen Furman. A scoring system is in place to rate the condition of the roads.
