Navarre could have captured their third straight District 2-6A crown with a victory over Choctaw last Friday night, but instead, they will have to wait until Halloween to learn their fate in the district race.
The Raiders need a victory by Fort Walton Beach over Choctaw on Oct. 31 to have a shot at the title. The most likely scenario is an Indian win over the 1-7 Vikings and a runner-up finish for the Raiders.
Navarre was their own worst enemy in the 25-15 loss to Choctaw at Joe Etheredge Stadium. The Raiders committed four turnovers on the night, three fumbles and an interception, and were guilty of 10 penalties for 95 yards.
