The construction of a recreational playground to enhance the popular ball field is now complete at Holley Ball Park. The grand opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday.
The playground now features all-inclusive play equipment for children ages two to five and includes such enhancements as rubberized surfacing, ground-level components, a ramp system, face-to-face “expression swing” for adult and child and benches, picnic tables and a 12’ by 24’ pavilion.
“What began as a request for a few swings and picnic tables has resulted in a beautiful playground for Holley-Navarre families to enjoy,” said District 4 Commissioner Rob Williamson. “Knowing how important family is to the residents of Holley, I expect this playground to get a lot of use.”
The new playground is located within Holley Ball Park and is located at 3146 Bob Tolbert Road in Navarre.
