According to the National Weather Service in Mobile, there is a chance we will have a drier winter with a La Nina setting up in the eastern pacific. “You have to take it with a grain of salt,” meteorologist Ryan Rogers said. “It just stacks the deck in a particular direction.”
A drier winter makes the local fire departments a little nervous in area where outdoor burning is allowed. Holley Navarre Fire District Fire Marshal Joe Early said most homeowners don’t pay attention to that and they should.
