A Santa Rosa Deputy patrol car was involved in a collision 3 a.m. Wednesday morning on Hwy 87.
According to a Highway Patrol report, a Toyota Prius driven by Navarre resident Thomas Bradley Sanders exiting westbound interstate 10 merged into the northbound lane where the patrol car was driving.
The patrol car attempted to swerve out of the way, but was unable to avoid the collision. The Prius struck the right side of the patrol car. The report lists $10,000 worth of damage for each vehicle.
Sanders received a ticket for violation of right away.
No injuries were reported.
