Manatees are now on the move to warmer water as winter settles in, making this a good time to educate people about the popular aquatic animal. “Manatee Awareness Month is a great opportunity to educate the public about manatee conservation at a critical time of the year,” said Jamie Rager, a representative for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) Division of Habitat and Species Conservation.
