Littered with crossdressing, dirty jokes and drunken fun, the theatrical works of William Shakespeare were never meant to be boring despite some modern assessments, argues DeeDee Brustad.
“Shakespeare was aimed at the common man, but now people think Shakespeare was meant to be serious and highbrow. Shakespeare has body humor. It has fart jokes. It is aimed at everyone,” she said.
