Rotten eggs or chlorine? Those are the choices Navarre residents have when it comes to how their water will taste or smell until Holley Navarre Water System (HNWS) is able to repair the Fairpoint Regional Utilities (FRU) water line that has been broken since April.
Since the break, HNWS has been flushing lines more frequently with chlorine to “mask” the hydrogen sulfide smell. Those flushes are even more necessary on dead end lines like cul-de-sacs Walker said.
