Renee Bookout, a City of Gulf Breeze council member and a lawyer, is pressing for better tracking of the expenses that are piling up in her municipality’s 20-year court fight to gain control of a 50-foot-wide path that leads from the dead end of Eufaula Street—between two private homes—to a narrow strip of Santa Rosa Sound shoreline.
