For inmates in Santa Rosa’s correctional system, there is new hope for life after serving time thanks to the Work Release and Second Chance Outreach, Re-entry and Education Development (SCORE) programs.
Housed in the same building at 8390 Transition Road in Milton, these programs provide inmates support and opportunities to improve their lives.
The facility offers 60 beds for each program, cafeteria-style eating, a common living space, a laundry facility, classrooms and a church meeting room.
Santa Rosa County Sheriff Wendell Hall said the Work Release program supports inmates while they are serving their time by allowing them to continue working.
