Holley Navarre Fire District welcomed two brand-new fire engines Saturday alongside community members in a traditional Wet-Down and Push-in Ceremony. Fire Chief Ron Norton did the honors of wetting down the new trucks, a practice inspired by times past when horse-drawn fire engines would get soaked by transferring water from the old engine to the new one.
“This is a great day for Holley Navarre Fire and a great day for the community,” Norton said.
