Ty Bilbrey, an experienced golf professional, resigned as general manager of The Club at Hidden Creek, effective Nov. 17. A search is underway for his replacement.
“I think he is a really good guy and hate that he decided to leave us,” Ken Walker, who serves as executive director of The Club at Hidden Creek, LLC, and general manager of Holley-Navarre Water System (HNWS), which owns the course, said at the Nov. 18 HNWS board meeting, adding, “I asked him to reconsider. He said he’d made up his mind.”
Bilbrey’s resignation letter is part of his employee file, however Walker said the golf course is a private entity and the letter is not subject to public records disclosure.
Bilbrey was hired July 14, following the May 2014 departure of former general manager Dave Taylor by a 3-2 vote of the HNWS board.
