Navarre resident Cinnamon Holderman found a shock in her mailbox last week in the form of a letter from her health insurance company.
It was a letter stating that effective Jan. 1 her monthly payment would jump from roughly $700 to $1,030 for herself and her 16-year-old son.
Holderman said she has never seen a significant hike like this. She is self-employed, so her income fluctuates, making budgeting for such an extreme change with only two months’ notice next to impossible she said.
