Three years ago the Holley Navarre Senior Center decided to host a Health Fair. It went over well and has since expanded, with a craft bazaar being added to the agenda in each of the last two years.
So on Friday morning as visitors strolled through the senior center, they could get a variety of simple health tests done, find out more about health services available to senior citizens and shop around for possible Christmas gifts.
“When we first started, it was just a health fair,” said Janet Pokroy, who helped put the event together. “But last year we thought about adding a bazaar to it because some weren’t interested in the health aspect. This is our second year having crafts. It’s gone over well.”
