Gulf Power rolled out a new text- and email-alert system to utility customers Wednesday, July 13 as part of a larger communications update joining the growing number of companies using text messaging to communicate with customers.
The alerts tell customers when their bill comes due, when it’s past due, if there is a disconnect order and when prices change due to the season.
The new bill alerts are one of many text and email alerts now offered by Gulf Power including alerts for outages and usage.
