Eva Anderson teaches the Voluntary PreSchool Program at the YMCA. Anderson, who has been teaching for 17 years, built her third school garden this spring with the 2016-2017 VPK class.
“It was a fun job to do. I know the children are excited about it,” Anderson said. “Gardens in schools can teach children a lot. It can be used across curriculums with STEM/STEAM learning math, science, language arts, social and emotions as well as hands on experience.”
