Former pro player treasures her place in baseball history

Mary Moore had no idea there was a professional baseball league for women. One of her teachers mentioned there was a former student playing in it and put Moore in touch with her.

The Michigan native went off to Indiana for a tryout and the rest is history for Moore, who spent three seasons in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in the early 1950s.
