Food pantry shelves running low

Along State Road 87 is a food pantry that’s been serving the community for 18 years. Recently, however, things changed significantly for ACTS Ministries when they dropped USDA due to certain stipulations the organization holds.

“We’re a church, we’re a ministry. We couldn’t pray with people, we couldn’t minister to them,” said Pastor Doug Barber of the Holley Assembly of God.

After dropping the USDA sponsorship, the ministry was dealt another blow when their annual food drive hosted by the U.S. Post Office came up short.
