The parched conditions of fairways and greens at Tiger Point Golf Club are drawing concern from officials at the City of Gulf Breeze, which owns the 365-acre club.
Integrity Golf, which took over management of the club via a lease last October, is responsible for its maintenance, but the course has languished from the lack of adequate irrigation since April.
“I am not going to sugar-coat this and attempt to put a positive spin on the matter,” Gulf Breeze Mayor Matt Dannheisser told the Navarre Press in an email earlier this week. “The City Council and I are very troubled by the poor golf conditions! This problem will get corrected rapidly.”
Dannheisser, an attorney who specializes in business and real estate law, added, “City staff promptly relayed to Integrity Golf our profound concerns about the deteriorating conditions and demanded immediate correction. Simply stated, the conditions are deplorable and will not be tolerated.”
