Another large residential complex will break ground on U.S. 98 in March 2015. Greystone Summit is planned to be an upscale 148-unit apartment community in West Navarre.
Recently Greystone Properties, LLC, which owns a 16.17-acre parcel adjacent to St. Sylvester Catholic Church, started working with Santa Rosa County officials to develop the planned 109,919-square-foot complex.
“It is a good indicator of growth and goes to show you the economy is picking up and Santa Rosa County is a great place to live,” said Santa Rosa County Commission Chairman Jim Melvin.
Greystone Properties, LLC is a licensed real estate company based in Columbus, Georgia. The company has been in business more than four decades and focuses on property management. “We don’t do third-party construction,” said owner Will White.
“It will be very upscale for an apartment project,” noted White, who says apartments will feature granite countertops. He said Greystone Summit’s amenities will include a heated pool, club house, playground and grilling area.
According to the company’s website, community signature clubhouses offer: resort style pools, relaxing hot tubs, wading pools, poolside cabanas with gas grill, Wi-Fi in the clubhouse and pool area, laundry facilities, expansive state-of-the-art cardio fitness centers, tanning centers, executive business centers with high-speed Internet, media rooms with large flat-screen TV’s cappuccino bars, large living rooms, plus personal car cleaning areas.
White says typically the company’s developments become the top projects in the area, pointing out the company’s most recent development, Greystone Summit in Knoxville. The company has also developed two residential and two corporate apartment communities in Columbus.
Additionally, in early 2014 the company opened Greystone Summit Forsyth, a corporate apartment community in Atlanta. It has also built corporate apartments in Leesburg, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.
White says building construction should begin in July 2015 and take 21 months to complete.
