The Gulf Breeze Sertoma Family Fishing Rodeo celebrated its 25th anniversary over the weekend with more than 300 anglers participating in the two-day event at Shoreline Park.
“We had about 350 participants and weighed in about 550 fish,” Wil Pergande, former chairman who now handles publicity for the rodeo. “Some of the people will donate their fish for us to cook and sell. This rodeo continues to grow each year. The thing we try to do is bring family units together. That is one of our main goals with the event. We want families to have fun fishing together.”
