Navarre Park restrooms set for November opening

It takes a village…to build park restrooms. Or, in Navarre’s case, it takes a community of volunteers.

“The volunteers are pulling together the donation of the labor to do the work, though you have to hire here and there,” according to Santa Rosa County Public Services Director Tony Gomillion. “The county is buying the materials. Even though it’s a volunteer project, the project is permitted to Mr. (Tony) Moorer, a local licensed contractor.”

The county allotted $100,000 for supplies. So far, $32,000 is what project leader James Dabney and Moorer have spent, according to Gomillion.
