Like the monarch butterfly, the Monarch Madness Festival returns to Navarre year after year.
On Oct. 16-17, the ninth annual event will celebrate the monarch butterfly’s migration through Northwest Florida with activities and educational stations for all ages at the Panhandle Butterfly House, located at the foot of the Navarre Beach Bridge.
In addition to browsing the Panhandle Butterfly House’s permanent collection of butterflies and gardens that each year serve as caterpillar habitats, children can learn about each stage of butterfly metamorphosis at a Junior Lepidopterist station.
