Employees at Keller Williams Realty in Navarre were lucky enough to have last Thursday off from work. But while they weren’t expected at the office, they were still busy – fixing up the Holley Navarre Senior Center.
Realtors donned their RED shirts – which stands for renew, energize, donate – and grabbed paint brushes, hedge clippers and power washers to clean up the center and make necessary repairs.
“In 2009, Keller Williams decided to ‘give where we live,’” Gerald “Jersey Jerry” Foster said. “Every year, on the second Thursday in May, we donate our time. This year, we voted to do the senior center.”
Event director Robin Edwards said by the end of the day, she expected about 50 volunteers.
“Everyone’s working together and knocking it out,” she said.
