Gulf Breeze still treading stormwater


Flooding after even minor rainfall still plagues parts of the City of Gulf Breeze more than a year after the April 2014 storm – despite $1.8 million in government grant funding spent to keep neighborhoods dry.

Among the streets still subject to rising water is Dracena Way.

Mayor Matt Dannheisser said Dracena is among several lingering problem spots that recently prompted Gulf Breeze City Council to approve borrowing up to $3 million or so for additional flood control infrastructure.
