Fire districts experiencing dispatch difficulties

Midway-Fire-DistrictMidway Fire District reported higher than average call response times for the month of June. According to Fire Chief Jonathan Kanzigg, the increased response times were due partly to increased call volume but were also due to technical difficulties with dispatch.

Battalion Chief Lou Jones spoke about the issues at the district’s July 8 meeting saying that calls will pop up on the laptops in the fire trucks without the warning tones that let them know a call is incoming.
