Conference energizes students through God’s teachings

When the New Year rolls around, most people are armed with resolutions and ready for a fresh start. Many focus on bettering themselves;  it’s not often we hear of those who want to better serve God.

The day after New Year’s, a small group of Navarre teens and 20-somethings journeyed to Atlanta for the Passion 2015 conference, a weekend gathering of around 20,000 college students that took place at the Georgia Dome. The name “Passion” comes from the theme verse from Isaiah 26:8: “Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts.”

The weekend was a call for those of faith to “wake up” and remember what God has done through his Son and to encourage attendees to share that news with others.
