A feasibility study being released to the Santa Rosa County Commissioners Thursday shows that a proposed City of Navarre would have a positive cash flow without property owners paying any additional taxes.
The report also said that the current estimated population of the proposed incorporated area is 42,300 and jumps to 52,200 when tourists are considered.
“I was surprised by population figures. That’s higher than we normally hear,” said Citizens to Incorporate Navarre member Laurie Gallup. “I wasn’t surprised by the financial analysis that showed the city could operate without additional taxes,” she said.
