Celebrating 100 years at NAS Pensacola

140701-N-SN160-007An F/A-18 Hornet painted in the Blue Angels theme was unveiled July 1 at NAS Pensacola’s main gate to commemorate the base’s 100th anniversary, as well as the 60th anniversary of Blue Angels being stationed there.

The F-11 Tiger previously at the air station gate had been on display since 1965.

Captain Keith Hoskins, NASP Commanding Officer and retired Captain Bob Rasmussen, Director of the National Museum of Naval Aviation were guest speakers at the special event.
