Gov. Rick Scott in May signed legislation that created three sales tax holidays, and the first one coincided with the start of the Atlantic hurricane season and was designed to encourage residents to make purchase now to be prepared.
“We haven’t had a big rush yet. I think a lot of folks have already stocked up on big items,” said Barry Gossman from Ace Hardware in Navarre.
