The request of developers to build a recreational vehicle park on 22 acres of Navarre Beach has been rejected by Santa Rosa County Commissioners.
Commission Chairman Lane Lynchard led opposition at Monday’s board committee meeting, but he did direct county staffers to review legal protocol on amending such leases as the one held by Chris Ferrara, who sought permission for the park on his property.
How the board handles controversial lease amendments on beach land could affect another change request that’s still in play: the effort by developers to build a 134-unit condominium on seven acres in Navarre Beach Marine Park. The developers who own the rights to that property, Ron Ward and Vic Deal, also represent Ferrara.
They didn’t appear before the commission on Monday.
